MICHAEL D. WHITE – ADVISOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS & TECHNOLOGIES

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2010 – 2016: Serve as a consultant to the Austrian Trade Commission, Los Angeles, California, and as a regular contributor to several publications including Expansion Solutions, Hoover, Alabama; Inbound Logistics, New York, New York; and International Business, Maidstone, UK.

September 2011 – 2016: Senior Correspondent. Global Trade magazine, Huntington Beach, California. Interview, research and write web content for the most widely read international business website in the country.

May 2015 – Present: U.S. Correspondent. International Business Magazine, Maidstone, England. Interview, research and write web content on developments in the U.S. international business, transportation and logistics sectors for the UK-based website.

January 2009 – September 2014: Web Content Editor: Worked under contract for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO). Responsibilities included project management, editing and writing web content for the second largest transit agency in the United States. The website averaged 1.2 million visits per month in 2014.

2003- 2009: Publisher/Editor: Pacific Coast Trade, Los Angeles, California, a webzine covering news and developments in international trade and their impact on the global economies of Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California.

Also produced and hosted the International Business Report, a weekly, 30-minute podcast featuring news briefs on a wide variety of global business and trade issues, as well as interviews with luminaries in the field. Interviewees include author and historian John Steele Gordon, international business consultant Roger Axtell, former U.S. Trade Representative Susan Schwab, founder of the World Trade Centers Association, Guy Tozzoli., and Miami-based international business attorney Peter Freyre.

1999 – 2003: Freelance International Business/Transportation Writer/Editor. Los Angeles, California. Work appeared in such publications as the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Inland Empire Business Journal, the Los Angeles Daily News, and the Long Beach Press-Telegram.

Also served for three years during the above period as a consultant to the World Trade Institute (WTI) of New York-based Pace University. Assisted with public and media relations, as well as curriculum restructuring following the 9/11 terrorist attack that destroyed the WTI’s facility in the World Trade Center.

1995 – 1999: Managing Editor – World Trade Magazine, Freedom Communications Inc., Irvine, California. Served as the second-in-charge of the editorial department of the most widely circulated international business magazine in the country. Responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day editorial operations of a magazine with three in-house editors and more than 30 free-lance writers. Grew the magazine from an ABC-audited monthly circulation of 51,000 to more than 92,500 over a four-year period.

1992 – 1995: Research Director / Editor, World Trade Center of Los Angeles/Long Beach, Long Beach, California. Responsible for the management of the trade information research department of one of the largest world trade centers in the U.S. Also responsible for editing the organization’s monthly TRADELINE newsletter, as well as writing promotional materials, speeches, white papers, research reports, and other written materials.

1988 – 1992: North America P.R. / Media Manager, Mitsui OSK Lines America (MOLAM), Long Beach, California. Responsible for branding, media and public relations, advertising placement, and creative promotional work including monthly newsletter editorial, brochure development, trade show involvement, video production, and speaker’s bureau for one of the largest ocean carriers in the world. MOLAM’s parent company is one of the largest steamship lines in the world and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Simultaneously served in the same capacity with the Transpacific Container Service Corp., MOL’s U.S. West Coast terminal- operating subsidiary.

Also completed writing and consulting assignments for a number of transportation and trade –related entities including the Georgia Ports Authority, the Port of New Orleans, the Port of Hueneme, Direct Container Line, Columbus Lines, the San Fernando Valley Economic Alliance, the Port of Long Beach, the Foreign Trade Association of Southern California, the Bay Area Economic Alliance, the San Gabriel Valley Economic Alliance, and the California State Assembly.

DANIEL A. WHITE JR. – CLU, ChFC

Mr. White entered the financial services field over 25 years ago. He has a Bachelor of Science degree and has taken several postgraduate courses in estate and business planning. He has also earned the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Mr. White is a planning professional, specializing in complex estate, business succession, retirement and investment issues; and has a clientele consisting of high net worth individuals, business owners, executives, professionals and retirees.

As a Senior Estate Planning Consultant, Dan confers and coordinates with other advisors and national brokerage firms on the financial aspects of estate and business transfer planning. He is affiliated with Sagemark Consulting, a nationally registered Financial Advisory Firm that is a subsidiary of the Lincoln National Corporation.

Dan has been affiliated with the National Association of Life Underwriters, the Los Angeles Estate Planning Council, the American Society of CLU & ChFC and the International Association of Financial Planners.

ROBERT N. SANT’ANSELMO – MARKET RESEARCH

Robert brings over 25 years’ professional experience with 21 years within the strategic market research sector. Robert possesses an in-depth understanding of global consumer research from both a client and agency/supplier perspective.

Robert’s background includes global primary marketing research ioacross hundreds of releases/franchises/brands covering all entertainment consumer windows (Film, TV/Cable, DVD/BD, Video Gaming).

Robert’s has extensive domestic and international marketing research experience, primary research encompassing the global entertainment consumer, franchise engagement/growth/retention across all lines of business, brand health, and franchise equity. In his prior role, Robert is currently a EVP Strategy and Insights at Maru…a global full service research firm with multi-sector expertise.

Prior, Robert was Senior Vice President Entertainment Strategy and Insights at Interpret, where he led their entertainment vertical for over four years. While there, Robert oversaw large-scale, time-sensitive custom and continuous multicultural primary research studies (i.e. creative ad testing, intent to consume, intent to view, positioning studies, concept tests, distribution/dating analysis, advertising strategies, brand equity/health research, multicultural longitudinal consumer tracking, and consumer A&U’s) to help clients gain a comprehensive understanding of the global entertainment consumer across channels of consumption. Prior to Interpret, Robert served many senior level research roles.

As General Manager of Toluna’s Global Entertainment practice, he worked with entertainment clients across the media landscape, including HE/In-Home, Theatrical and Game while gaining a deep global understanding of sampling strategy and methodology.

Prior to that, Robert ran a prospering entertainment market research consultancy that led the way in becoming a recognized thought leader in the area of consumer insights and unifying primary survey “ask” results with all important “listen” social media metrics to drive consumer insights. Robert then spent nearly six years at Online Testing Exchange as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Insights, where he built-up and spearheaded a successful team in supplying multicultural consumer insights to major and independent studio clientele.

Prior to OTX, he held numerous studio-side market research management positions at two different motion picture studios (Sony Pictures Entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.)

I believe the most rewarding service is volunteerism and to that end, I have dedicated my working years to improving the quality of life for those less fortunate than me and my family. Having retired from my professional career in public service on July 1, 1997, I continue my volunteer service in many capacities.

RAYMOND T. BENNETT

Legal, Taxes, Financial and Media Management

Mr. Raymond T. Bennett operates a consulting practice in the Telecommunication and Entertainment industries advising on Federal and International tax matters, and Federal Telecommunication regulatory and legislative matters.

Mr. Bennett was Vice President, Public Affairs and Taxes, Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation.  At Fox, Mr. Bennett was instrumental in effecting the film industry’s successful landmark provisions in the Copyright and Tax Reform Acts of 1976.  As Chairman of the Board of Fox Movie-Tone News, Bennett was responsible for the preservation of this valuable film library and it’s gift to the University of South Carolina.  After Fox, Bennett was Vice President-Taxes for MGM/UA Entertainment Co., in both Los Angeles and Atlanta following TBS’ acquisition of MGM/UA.

Mr. Bennett was executive producer of “The Priceless Gift”, “Lights, Camera, Action” and “Dynamics of Energy Future”, film documentaries produced for Twentieth Century Fox and is the author of “Taxation of the Motion Picture and TV Industry” published by the University of Southern California Tax Institute and Price Waterhouse.  He is a member of numerous professional organizations.  He was chairman of the International Law Section of the American Bar Association and sat on the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers, the Capital Legal Foundation and Media Institute, all based in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Bennett, is a native of New York City, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University and juris doctor from Fordham Law School and is a member of the New York Bar, Admitted to the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Military Appeals.
